A guilty pleasure you can't seem to quit?
Chocolate or peanut butter. Not that I’ve tried to quit either but I also would never want to. And specifically the two of them together.

Which part of your body receives the most compliments from strangers?
Either my quads or abs. Probably abs, tend to walk around without a top on most of the time if I can get away with it.

Which flavour of ice cream best describes your personality and why?
Probably choc chip cookie dough. The sharp edge of the choc chip but still a child at heart like the cookie dough.

Do you have a fetish?
Haha that’s for those I’m close enough to know and find out. Most of the fun is learning about the other person.

What do you stand for?
Health, both physical and mental. I try to encourage people to be active as much as possible. Not necessarily for everyone to have a chiseled physique but a healthy heart and mind.

Thanks James!

Which flavour of ice cream best describes your personality and why?
Vanilla, because it's always sweet and it's how I want to be all the time.

If the world was coming to an end and you were allowed one last kiss, who would be lucky enough to land on your lips?
It would be from the last lips I kissed before my flight to New York.

Thanks Christos!

My fashion photographer Ramsey Spencer wanted to have a Black theme editorial with the perfect model that he was in search for quit a while, until he met model Christos Katsavochristos. The model was with amazing blue eye and long hair and body was sick fit, a dream of every man to have.

Pairing the model with few black outfits was the key to this editorial, wanted to see the model through the darkness of what he was wearing for the shooting, after few looks it start unveiling with his great body physic that Christos got.
Highlighting the model with great touch of the photographer was just superb, signature style and amazing attitude, we got from the model what we needed as his hard work out shown in a perfect way not like any others.
What we got from all this? at the end, its all about personality and how you show it thought your body. Sure everyone works out and got a body, but getting the right personality makes you shine as star even in the dark. Everyone is shooting body today, but its meaningless without a strong concept behind it. Thats why we wanted to be very unique with this editorial to make it glow in the dark from amazing look outdoors and amazing great body indoors, and thats why Christos Katsavochristos was the face and body model for it. We call it : The model who got it all.

Lucas Bloms by Rick DayFeaturing handsome American hunk Lucas Bloms and I knew that I needed to spend a little time looking around out there for more of him. It should be no surprise to you that I lost more than an hour of my day amazed over photos of this gorgeous guy teasing us in some pretty damn sexy photos.
It seems this energetic and stunning man isn’t too shy when it comes to showing off some more skin, especially a little tattoo he has on his butt.
Now, I know a lot of you don’t like ink on a sexy guy like this, but I think we can agree that this cheeky little motif is acceptable. I don’t know exactly what “Project Badass” is, but I’m guessing it might have something to do with his adventures traveling around the world, and his time living in Australia as a result of that.
Whatever the reason, we’re glad he’s so eager to show it off and let us all enjoy it in these photos by the legendary Rick Day.
I know, you’re all wishing he’d managed to get him on that famous bed for some erotic images. Me too. Maybe next time?
Let me know what you think of him in the comments!

Model Lucas Bloms is gathering legions of fans very quickly. The North Dakotan is a late-bloomer who is now taking the industry by storm. Handsome looks? Check. Great body?  Check. But Lucas brings some lively personality to the table. Witty, charismatic, clever, a tad unpredictable, there is nothing cookie cutter about Lucas, who is also quite bright and possesses a masters degree. I think you are going to enjoy reading about colorful Luke, and find him to be very genuine and forthcoming.

So, first some basics. What is your age, weight, and height? Hair/eye color? Birthday?  What agencies represent you? What is your hometown & current residence?
28 years old, 190 lbs, 6’2” tall;  Blonde hair, blue eyes;  Birthday: September 4, 1990;  Good Talent Management, Elite Miami, Daman Istanbul, Directions USA;  Hometown: Berthold, North Dakota Currently: Miami, Florida
First, your personality really shines through on your social media, Luke. What were you like as a kid growing up in North Dakota? What was your family like?
I’ve always had a weird sense of humor/personality. My family was very sarcastic. Holidays were a warzone. I grew up on a farm. North Dakota is great except for the weather. It’s a very conservative state, so nobody understands my lifestyle, but everybody there is very nice. My family still lives and works in North Dakota.

You received your masters degree in kinesiology, which is the study of body movement. Fascinating area of expertise! First, why did you choose that field? Secondly, is there some area you would like to purse career-wise some day in kinesiology? Finally, how does a mastery of this discipline help with modeling?
I chose Kinesiology because I’m always moving. I love fitness and I exercise every chance I get. I grew up in the gym from sports to weightlifting. Someday, I would like to use that career to own a gym. The degree actually ties into modeling really well. I learned everything I needed to know about exercise and nutrition to keep my body in shape.
Lucas, you have backpacked all around the world. What inspired and enabled you to do that? When and where have you backpacked? No doubt, this experience taught you a great deal, but give us a few top-line life lessons that you picked up?
Travel has been the single greatest and worst experience of my life. It’s absolutely amazing to go wherever you want and see new places all the time. However, you quickly become desensitized to life.  It takes a lot to excite me these days. I still love travel, but I always want more. You also miss home a lot, but don’t really want to go back because you’ve already been there. It’s really hard to explain.
Image result for Lucas Bloms
I’ve gone through several countries in Europe, Asia, and lived in Australia. The biggest lesson I’ve learned from backpacking is that people learn through doing. Trial and error leads to experience.
You also lived in Australia for a bit. Tell us how that came about and your impressions of Oz?
While backpacking, I met a lot of Australians. I always got along with them really well.  They seemed like very happy, outgoing people and spoke highly of their country. I wasn’t ready to be done traveling at the end of my trip so I decided to live in another country for a while. I only speak English, so my options were limited. I have a love/hate relationship with Australia.  It’s a wonderful place, but it also has a lot of downsides. I lived in Sydney, which is an incredibly expensive city. Living there is very comparable to living in Miami or LA, so when I had a chance to come back to America, I took it.
So tell us the origins of when, why, and how you broke into modeling?
I was kind of awkward when I was younger, but towards the end of college and into grad school I matured into my body a bit. I started getting a lot of odd nicknames and comments. The nicknames and comments eventually turned into people asking if I ever modeled or would be interested in it.I really wanted to finish school, so I never took it seriously. Then when I started backpacking Europe, I got a lot of attention from people and photographers. I turned down a couple of photographers that wanted to shoot me in Italy. Jogging through the streets of Berlin, a photographer ran me down and tapped me on the shoulder. So I finally decided to agree to a shoot. After that, I took it a little more seriously and decided to give it an honest shot. I hit the ground running in Australia and never looked back.
Image result for Lucas Bloms
What has been the most memorable event thus far to happen to you as a model?
I can’t think of one specific event, but more the collective of experiences I’ve had. My favorite part is being able to travel to different cities and find people that want to work with me. Meeting all the different characters of this industry has probably been the best part.
Is it fair to say you are very comfortable posing without clothes? Do you ever get shy?   What is your mindset on provocative shoots?
Honestly, I’m just comfortable in my own skin. Before I started modeling, I was most comfortable in just underwear, compression shorts, or a pair of shorts. I know what I look like, and I’m not shy. The provocative shoots are viewed more as art. It’s like a creative tease. There’s always an agreement that nude photos will never be released.  That’s just not tasteful.  But to get the right shots, the photographer will have to see you naked. It’s part of the job.
Image result for Lucas Bloms nude
Who are some photographers whom you would dream to shoot with some day? How was it to shoot with Thomas Synnamon?
I’ve honestly shot with a lot of the photographers I want to work with, but there’s always more. Wong Sim is definitely at the top of my list to shoot with right now. The work he’s done with Mitchel Wick has inspired me.
My shoot with Thomas Synnamon was great. I took a trip up to New York and he was the first photographer I shot with. It was an awesome start to the trip.
I know ultimately you want to be an actor? You have mainly been living recently in Atlanta and Miami, are you planning to make the leap soon to LA or NYC?
I’ve worked on a couple movies in Atlanta. I’m in Miami mainly for the modeling side of things. I will have to bite the bullet soon and make the move to either LA or NY. Haven’t decided which is a better fit yet.

Where does the desire to act come from, Luke? Have you taken classes or done plays?   You have been making home videos since you were 5 years old…was that more of a creative outlet or just enjoying the attention that comes from being in front of the camera?
It’s funny you worded the question like that! Yes, that’s exactly right.  I started making home videos with my brother and cousin at 5 years old. It continued as I grew older. I bought some GoPro’s and started videoing snowboard trips with friends and weekends at my family’s lake cabin. Then I made a few travel videos of my backpack adventures. There’s something very interesting to me about being able to entertain people through pictures and video.
Tell us what kind of acting work and film genres you envision yourself doing?
My favorite thing to watch is comedy. I could definitely see myself getting into that. I also love the Batman movies and James Bond series. Action is another genre I could see myself in.

You were a mechanic in the popular film, “The Fast & the Furious 8.” Tell us about that.
I was just featured background, so don’t expect any cool speaking roles or anything, but it was an awesome experience.  It was very cool to be a part of something that big.  The set, budget, and the stars were all top notch.
Being from conservative North Dakota, Luke, how have friends and family reacted to you modeling?
I feel like the reactions change constantly. At first, everyone told me I didn’t know how to model, so I just laughed and said, “watch me.”  Most of my friends and family were very supportive in the beginning. But as I progressed, I slowly lost supporters. I still have a few friends and family reach out every once in a while to let me know they are still excited to see what I’m doing next. It’s always nice to hear that. In the end, I don’t really care, it’s my life and there wasn’t really anything for me in North Dakota.

So, tell us about “Project Badass?”  ☺
Hahaha! Project Badass was something I did with one of my very good friends. Being conservative North Dakotans, none of us had tattoos. We decided we would get one on our butts just to be funny and itch the scratch of getting your first tattoo. We would know we had one, but nobody ever had to see it (so I thought anyway, then I decided to model underwear and nude). We chose random quotes from our favorite TV show, “Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”  I liked the irony of having badass written on my ass.  I don’t regret it. I think it’s a good way to get a read on someone’s sense of humor.
I’m oversimplifying, but what are your personal keys to being fit?
Honestly, fitness is simple.  That’s what people don’t understand. Yes, you can make it as complicated as you want, but just being healthy isn’t very hard.  It’s the psychology side of it that’s hard.  Everyone knows they should exercise and eat healthy, but nobody does because its easier and more fun not to. My biggest key to fitness is “consistency.”  I don’t necessarily work any harder than other people, but I will be more consistent. When people get busy or tired, exercise is the first thing to go and then it becomes a habit to skip exercise.  I exercise every day in some form no matter how busy I am. It’s really just a mindset.
Lucas Bloms, fitness and fashion Model
What are some things that a male model prospect might be shocked to learn about the reality of male modeling?
I think they would be shocked by most of it haha. I think what most people don’t understand is that it is work. Everyone assumes you live this life of a rock star. I work more now than I did when I had normal jobs. There’s no such thing as “office hours” or “weekends.”  You can work any day of the week at basically any hour of the day.  The other thing people don’t realize is that you don’t just decide to be a model and start getting paid. It’s a popularity contest. You need to build a strong book, get the right people representing you, and get in front of the right clients. You’re essentially a salesman.
Tell people something off the beaten path that we would be surprised to know about Lucas Bloms.
Despite my resting bitch face in all my pictures, I’m actually a really friendly person.  I’m an open book. There isn’t really much about me that people don’t know.
Lucas Bloms, fitness and fashion Model
Now the Flash Bulb Round…..quick, simple responses:
–Favorite all-time:  a) movie comedy  b) action/fantasy film  c)  tearjerker movie?
a) Step Brothers b) Dark Knight trilogy   c) Southpaw
–Other than the USA, what 2 countries would you most like to reside?
Haha well I used to think Australia, but cross that one off the list.  I would love to live in Switzerland. That’s definitely at the top of my list. It’s absolutely beautiful and everyone is very wealthy. Other than that, I would like to live on an island like Greece. I’m a sucker for good weather.
–Favorite underwear brand & style?
I don’t really have a favorite brand. Just anything with a good fit.  My favorite style is boxer briefs.  I spend most of my time in compression shorts working out.

–Favorite sin food?
Believe it or not, I have quite a few sin foods.  I eat healthy 75% of the time, but I treat myself like you wouldn’t believe! Pop Tarts are my sin food.
–What do you wear to bed?
I’m weird. I wear jogger sweatpants and usually socks to bed. Go ahead judge me. Its comfy.
— Most accurate & least accurate stereotype of male models?
Most accurate: Models are cocky.  Yes, you need to have a very high level of confidence in yourself to do this.
Least accurate: Models are dumb. This couldn’t be further from the truth.  I have a masters degree. My roommate reads more books than anyone I’ve ever seen.I’ve had deeper conversations with model friends than a lot of people I know.Yes, there are probably idiot models out there, but that could be said about a lot of professions.

Your biggest vice?
Alcohol. North Dakota is the nation’s biggest binge drinking state. I rarely drink anymore, but I always enjoy a good beer or catching a buzz.
–What 2 physical features do people compliment you on the most?
My abs and feet. The abs seem obvious, but the feet one surprised me. Apparently there are a lot of creepy foot fetish people out there. I have the Instagram comments and DM’s to prove it.
— On the Model Nudity Scale, rank your level of nervousness (1=none, 10=very)?
One!  Everybody has the same parts. If I need to be naked for my job, it doesn’t bother me at all.
Lucas Bloms, fitness and fashion Model
–Favorite brand of workout clothes?
I prefer not to wear workout clothes. I push the limits of what my gym allows.  I usually workout barefoot and shirtless. Less laundry that way haha. I’m just a fan of good compression shorts and lightweight shorts. I’m not really a slave to brands either.  I’ll wear anything that is going to be comfortable.
Finally, Luke, what is the best way on social media for people to reach out to you?
Instagram is probably the best way to reach out to me.  It’s the app I use the most and it has features now that make it easy to reach out. I have a business profile, so people can email me, and there’s always the option of sliding into the DM’s haha. I have Facebook and Twitter, but don’t check them as often. I really have no problem answering someone when they reach out as long as they are normal about it.  If you message me about how you want to smell me with 37 emojis, chances are I won’t respond.

-When did you start modeling? Was becoming a model  your idea or someone suggested it?It happened in both ways in different periods. Being invited first and after long time deciding!! First of all, when I was 15 I was invited to do my first job and some other jobs, then when I was 19 I was discovered by an international scouter and I decided to leave the country to see how it would be that experience but 6 months later I decided to come back to finish my studies and finally when I was 23 y.o. I really "decided" to come back to business and since then it is my main job and what I love to do!!!

-
Do you remember your first modeling job?How could I forget it !?  My first modeling job as professional was when I was 19. The funny part was the casting !! It was my first casting, was for a campaign and the designer took my book looking at me!! He went through the pages keeping eyes on me, then when he reached the white pages (at that time I had just a test in my book with 5 pictures) he stopped and  still looking at me he said: "This one is your best picture" (it was a white page)  and gave me back the book !!! Hahahahaha!! For me it was too funny !!! I couldn't believe it but in the end, I got the job !!! Don't ask me why maybe he was joking or I don't know what!!!

-What kind of assignments, as a model, do you prefer?
I love to do what I do and I enjoy every kind of job but what I like more are the TV commercials !!!!
-How would you describe yourself as a person, which adjectives would you use? I think that I'm writing my story and to describe myself is hard since this story is not over yet!! Anyway, I would tell I'm a very true person !!
-I'm sure you travel alot, what has been the most interesting place you have visited so far? Thanks to my job I had an opportunity to be, to see, to live, to "feel" a big part of the world, in my opinion that is just amazing and you start to understand more, and to see you are a part of a big world full of differences but beautiful differences what makes it so rich of culture and also by the time you start to see the world trough different eyes, "tasting  opinions" and feeling everywhere is home !! I think everything I saw is amazing, every place with its own characteristics and peculiarities but just to mention some place: was really interesting to see Jerusalem, the place where Jesus was crucified, the differences about the city and the old city, the wall in the middle of the city that separates Jewish from Muslim people !!! Everything surrounded just by rocks and desert !!!

-When you're away from home, what do you miss the most?I think my answer is kind of stupid coz is exactly the question itself what I miss more when I'm not home is home !!! You know what I mean? The feeling, the energy, the vibration that we just have at home with people that make part and create this home !!
-What is your favorite sport? Do you only watch it or do you play it too?I love sports in general  and I practice lots of them but you know, I'm Brazilian, what means soccer is in my blood, I love to play it and to watch it !!!

What kind of music do you like? What is your current favorite song?Man, I like several kinds, coz in my opinion every moment deserves a different kind of music but I should admit I love surf music !!!

6 Hours at NYFW: Men's With Calvin Klein Model Tobias Sorensen
Having walked in countless shows for the likes of Dolce & Gabbana and Vivienne Westwood, campaigns for brands like Kenzo, Versace and Calvin Klein (where he appeared with his IRL girlfriend, model Jasmine Tookes), and editorials in V and Vogue, it's an understatement to say that Tobias Sorensen is an in-demand guy. So much so that's it's been a while since he's walked the runway for shows in his current homebase -- New York. With his return to the Big Apple to appear in NYFW: Men's, we had the chance to come along for the ride during a hectic day of shows.
Bursting out of his building behind two small dogs tugging at their leashes, Tobias runs over to me, apologetically explaining that he needed to take them out for a second and will be right back down. He is wearing black loafers, jeans, a tee, and a Yankees hat, and seems relatively calm considering the day ahead.
He heads back in and reemerges a few minutes later, this time with no dogs (but the same outfit). A large black SUV sits in front of his building, engine running attentively. I walk towards it, but luckily, I notice Tobias step into the street and raise his hand to hail a cab before I open the door to a car that's clearly not for us.

After several failed attempts to flag a cab down, Tobias takes out his phone to order an Uber. A white minivan appears in a few minutes and we speed downtown for the Michael Bastian show.
In the car, we talk about his summer routine (gym with his girlfriend, walking his dogs, and work), spending time at home in Denmark, and his newly- released campaign for Calvin Klein Eternity Now.

"It's by far the most exciting experience I've had modeling-wise" he says of starring in the campaign alongside his Victoria's Secret angel girlfriend, Jasmine Tookes. The two have already appeared as a couple in shoots for Vogue and V, but this is their first campaign.

"We both live in New York, and it's such an iconic American brand. It's something we can always look back at."
The show has just ended but Tobias is already late for backstage at the next one, Asaf Ganot, where he will open. "I'm supposed to be there at 11" he smiles. We push our way through the swarms of models and reporters after he says his goodbyes.

Hoodie up, Tobias leads the way through the rain towards our Uber, which has mistakenly arrived a block away. Inside the car, he makes a few calls in Danish, then tries Jasmine, who does not pick up, so he sends her a text instead.
We arrive inside the cavernous, dimly-lit, ArtBeam gallery. "Tobias!" A woman with a clipboard smiles excitedly, emerging from the dark. We follow her past the runway and into the backstage area, equally as spacious, but bright and humming with activity.
Image result for Calvin Klein Model Tobias Sorensen
He smiles and says hello to familiar faces, and then, once again, is sent to the bathroom to wash his hair.
About an hour later, walkthroughs are over, hair and makeup is finished, and it's time to change before the show. "You've gotta walk out there either way," he smiles. He's not nervous about opening, and with almost a decade of runway experience, he shouldn't be.
Image result for Calvin Klein Model Tobias Sorensen
The show has just ended, and press, stylists, and designers alike cheer and clap backstage, looking up at the live feed of the audience applauding and rushing to get a closer look at the models, now lined up along the runway.

Someone signals to bring the models back in, and Tobias reenters with the others as people pour into the backstage area. We shake hands and he thanks me in his soft Danish accent before snapping a picture with friends. Our six hours together are over, and it's time for him to head off to another show.

How did he get discovered
I was doing Circus classes, and there was a model who gave me the card from her agency. So I went to the agency and then they called mom asking her if I could do the fashion show.
My first shooting was with the photographer Michael Roberts and the model Alice Braga for Vanity Fair in Rio.
I’m living now in Miami. I’m trying to get in some theatre company here.

Working with photographers: posed naked already?
I really enjoy when I work with the photographers who like to interact with the models. It´s really cool when they express their ideas. I love when everyone claps after the last click, that means we did a great job.
Naked??? Only if it’s worth! hahaha

The catwalks experiences
I´ve already wakled for some cool fashion designers. The Fashion Rio for Blue Man was the best catwalk ever!
A fashionista?
People say that, but I just like to wear clothes that are customized by me. I like to cut and sew my clothes, and feel myself comfortable wearing them.

Imagine you a famous model surrounded by a huge crowd?
I’ll let them take me away. hahaha

Show biz, fame, success…
Show Business, it’s just work, the name already says. Fame and success are different things. Anyone can be famous for anything, but success means that you´ve reached your goals, and you feel so accomplished.
Most important things for his life
FRIENDS- they’re forever. The distance makes no difference. You’ll always be worried about them and wishing that they are happy. You can sacrifice your own happiness for them.
LOVE- we can’t live without it
CINEMA- every life is a movie
ART- aways shows us what we need to see
MOTHER- it’s unique.

Love X Dating
LOVE- A very exciting thing inside your heart. You want to spend all your time with that person, because everything is better when you’re with her. It can make you strong and fragile. You can do anything for that person because love makes miracles. It’s the way that my girlfriend makes me feel.

Sports
Rowing – I participated in many competitions in Rio de Janeiro. I like skating, running and swimming.

Having fun, enjoying life
Always with my girlfriend (Therefore Agatha), She’s also a model and we’re living together in Miami. I like to go out and spend my time with her. I love to go to the beach and being in touch with nature, I think my country is the perfect place for that.
And I always have fun playing guitar.
In his Ipod
I love Bob Dylan, The Doors, Nirvana, Seu Jorge, Chico Buarque, Caetano Velozo, Cazuza… And my favorite singer is me! hahahaha

Favorite food
I like fruits, watermelon is my favorite one. And I LOVE rice and beans, I’m brazilian and I can’t live without that.

I’m planning to stay in the USA working as a model and studying theater. And then go back to Brazil and keep working on it.
My mother agency is 40 Graus Models . Rio de Janeiro city where I usually live.
Thanks you so much for having me World of Models family. A big hug!!!

To better discover the personality of Rick Day, I have added two interviews of the master which could be found on the net.
So let’s discover more masterpiece of Rick….
Chris Fawcett and Kim Kraglund by Rick Day for Coitus. Buy here.
You have made quite a name for yourself shooting the masculine form. What do you think it is about your photographs that people love, besides the obvious?
Rick Day: I think that people like what I shoot mainly for the subject matter… I live in N.Y.C and am very lucky to have the opportunity to work with these amazing guys.

How did you come to be a photographer?
Rick Day: I was at a bookstore and looked through a book by Bruce Weber, I had never heard of him before and was just awestruck at his images, I am still a huge fan of his. After seeing his book I bought a camera and started shooting anyone that would get in front of my camera.

You have already shot two of our local boys that I’m aware of like Bryce Thompson (twice), any plans to shoot more?
Rick Day: I love Bryce. He is not only great in front of the camera but he is to me the epitome of manliness. And a great guy to boot. I have shot many men from South Africa and look forward to shooting many more. Hopefully one day I will actually shoot them in South Africa.

I have been told you are very good with your models, what do you think you do that makes them so comfortable?
Rick Day: A lot of joking and laughing. I think that to make someone really comfortable you have to have a good sense of humor. I always feel that the eyes and body language are really what makes a person look at ease. And of course trust.
Image result for Rick Day photography
You don’t just shoot half-naked men, in fact you have quite the portfolio, what other work do you do?
Rick Day: Thank you for actually bringing that up. I have been shooting for 18 years… and although I love shooting half naked men I also shoot a lot of magazines, catalogues, teen magazines, singers and kids.

Your new book is coming out soon, what was the inspiration behind it?
Rick Day: The new book is actually a follow up to my first book and second . This series of book, to me, showcases men’s athletic bodies in a very voyeuristic arena. The men are strong and almost command that you take notice of them.

What’s next for Rick Day?
Rick Day: I have been working on my next book “CASTINGS” as well as keeping myself always behind my camera shooting. I am looking forward to growing as an artist and as a photographer.

How long have you been doing photography?
I have been shooting for about 19 years. I started in Atlanta then moved to Milan, Italy for about a year… then to NYC.

I read that you are a self-taught photographer. Is that true? If so, did you find difficulties in going that route?
Yes, I am a self taught photographer. I bought a camera after looking through a book by Bruce Weber. I was completely and utterly fascinated by his images and I am still a huge fan of his. He is brilliant.
I guess at the time, I wasn’t really looking at photography as a career, but I was shooting anyone that would get in front of my camera. I was not aware fully of the whole fashion business, and by the time I realized that most photographers are either school taught or have assisted other photographers, I was already shooting most of the working models in Atlanta. My chances of assisting a local photographer were bleak. I would recommend to any new photographers to at least assist other photographers. It may not be the most fun, but the learning curve would be much greater.
Rick Day Photographer - Model Benjamin
Did you have any photography mentors or role-models that helped mold your unique style?
Back when I first started shooting, as I mentioned, I had picked up a book by Bruce Weber really by accident. After that, I really started looking at all of the books that were available to me at the local bookstores. I remember loving the beautiful effortless shots by Bruce. I loved loved loved the elegant lines of Herb Ritts. He really was amazing, but the person that influenced my body lighting the most was Victor Skrebneski. His use of lighting on men’s bodies was so beautiful.

Was there a breakthrough moment in your photography career or was it a progressive build?
Luckily for me, I have always been a busy photographer and I am a bit of a workaholic. As far as the type of popularity that I seem to have now, I would say started when I began shooting for Genre Magazine. I was also at the time beginning to shoot the original “Players” book. The book and the popularity of internet bloggers really catapulted my images in a way that I was not fully ready for. It was a bit overwhelming.
Image result for Rick Day photography
What goes through your mind during a photo shoot?
This is a hard question. I try not to plan my shoots in too much detail because I have found that my best pictures were organic in nature, not too planned. I would say that keeping my model comfortable and at ease is probably what I am thinking about the most.

How do you interact with your models to make them comfortable during the revealing photo shoots?
At this point, most of the models that I am shooting for a book are pretty aware of the images I have shot, so that takes the pressure out of explaining what I want to shoot. I will usually show them an image of what I have in mind, and then we take it from there. I usually try to have the models bring a bit of themselves out in the shoot as well.
Image result for Rick Day photography
Tell me about your new book.
The new book project?  It is a follow up obviously to  one of my others. It has been printed in a much larger format. This book, like its predecessor, is full of some of the most beautiful bodies in the world. Trust me. Without the hard work and diligence of the men that I shoot, these books would not live up to the hype. I have to pay respect to the men I shoot and thank them for allowing me to shoot them in this suggestive manner.

What is your favorite type of photography to shoot?
Weddings…. bah mitzvahs… and forensic crime scenes. I mean, do you really need to ask?

If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be doing?
Something awesome I am sure. I have never been someone that was bored or working a job that I did not like. Life is way too short.

If you could choose any celebrity for a photo shoot, who would you choose and why?
Whichever one has the nicest budget. I love celebrities and always enjoy working with them, but I am not a starstruck photographer.

Rick Day is a famous fashion photographer who is really great in capturing the sex-appeal of the male models. He has a specific and unique way of making the models up, he knows how to enhance the strength of the muscled men bodies and give them the sexual appealing in an homo-erotic attitude.

“Rick Day’s opulent coffee-table books Players and Players Two both became instant bestsellers. At first glance, the photographs are all about sports, about immaculate and trained bodies in rugby wear, tight trunks or nothing at all. But Rick Day doesn’t just take pictures of masculine sex appeal. His work impresses with an almost corporeal tension. The interaction of straightforwardness and intimacy keeps us wondering: Who is the subject and who is the object? Rick Day’s photographs are perfectly staged. All Players is a 288-page collection of all new material .
